The Road of Childhood

Come join me on the road of childhood

Running in freedom’s wind across a lush green field

Laughter’s life shadows the moving lips that curl into a smile

Laced into life’s very foundation, criss – crossing through its floors

Come join me on the road of childhood,

Where its instruments’ songs produce laughter,

Guitar laced on a backdrop of droplets of gold,

Infinitely deep, yet basic to the child.

Come join me on the road of childhood,

Where love is the basis of all,

Unknown that it’s there, – existing – but as breath, of it you do not think –

Wrapped in the softest four sided pillow, safe to soar to the heavens, bounce, and play –

In a soft purple cloud.

Come join me on the road of childhood,

Where hugs are my blanket, security, surroundings, and life,

Give me a kiss as I fly by under the brightest gold stars,

Running on my lush green meadow

Light wind rushing through the strands of soft hair,

Slight smile flicking my lips

More instinct that intention
